Skill disconnected today

I noticed that Voice Monkey commands were not being processed in the last day or so. So I followed the troubleshooting and went into the Alexa app and looked at my skills with the intention of disabling and enabling the Voice Monkey skill. To my surprise the Voice Monkey skill was not even in the list. I had to search for it and enable it. Everything appears to be back to normal now.
So my question - 1) how could this have happened? and 2) is there anyway I can setup a notification to let me know that the connection has gone/failed? Thanks.

Hi all,
This should be fixed as of late December.
If you're still experiencing the issue, please disable and re-enable the Voice Monkey skill in the Alexa app and hopefully it shouldn't randomly disconnect again.

Hello! Apologies for the delayed response on this.
The issue has been reported by more and more users over the past month.
Unfortunately being a small Skill we don't get much support from Amazon to help us debug but I have noticed recently that the Alexa smart home APIs have changed a little in how they function.
I have made a small change so hopefully that will help this particular situation, but let me know if you're still getting frequent Skill disconnections from now on.

It happened again today. I realized that I don’t have Alexa app notifications turned on. I noticed in the app that Alexa did have a notification that Voice Monkey was disconnected. I clicked on this and it reconnected and now works. So I am turning on notifications and hoping it will let me know so I can intervene quickly. I always thought this was going to be an iffy approach to connecting with Alexa but in general it works.

The problem is that support is not answering any email or feedback..:! Im paying for this app monthly but im not getting any support and app is not working fine.
