Hi there,
I've read through this forum, but I haven't found an answer. This is what I'd like to do:
  1. I want to pass a numeric value to a VoiceMonkey variable.
  2. VoiceMonkey would then announce something with the variable as part of the announcement.
  3. It would then trigger an Alexa routine to do something using the variable.
Here's an example,
When I go out, I tell Alexa that I'm going out, and I want it to shut off something after 15 mins.
When I go to sleep, I tell Alexa that I'm going to bed, and I want it to shut off the SAME thing, but after 5 mins.
Why do it this way?
Both "flows" are identical, except for the time. I could create 2 routines, but it's better practice to create one and parse a variable.
Is what I want possible? If so, can you advise what the steps are necessary to achieve this.
