API returns 200 but Alexa doesn't speak

After a few weeks of good functioning speakers, Voice Monkey stopped outputting to Text to Voice my Alexa devices. I deleted all voice devices, disconnected the skill, reconnected the skill and successfully synchronized 2 "new" devices using newly created routines.
Using the API on these devices, I get a RC of 200 for the API but still no voice feedback. Playground doesn't produce voice feedback either. If I run the involved Alexa routines manually, I get the "new device added" message that was pushed to them during synchronization. Anyone any clues on how to fix this? Is it a bug? Any help is welcome.

Hi Lucas....thanks for raising this. You're right, the API should be returning a different response..seems like a bug I need to squash.

Are you still using the device routine in Alexa? The one that calls the Voice Monkey skill, Not the routine trigger. I ask this because I deleted them, thinking I didn't need them anymore and my voice monkey wouldn't talk to me! I put them back in and everything is working again.

Kate Hadley: Hi Kate, yes, I recreated everything from scratch, including the routine. Success and new device added was the only message produced when synching. Silence ever after :-(

Arghh. Trial Expired. Didn't show up until today.... Wasted a lot of time digging into possible causes... An email or correct message right away would have been very helpful
